Digit frequency
Row digits vs column digits
Rows spread wide, columns nearly flat — the fingerprint of a keyword square filled along its rows. See E3.
The square as actually used
Observed count above, count expected if the two digits were independent below. Three cells of the top four rows are never used (61, 73, 95), and the fifth row — label 0 — appears exactly once, which is what the tail of a keyword square should do.
Unit frequency, sorted — against English
Grey bars behind: what the 26 English letters would look like in a text of this length. Flatter at the top, and it falls off a cliff at position 14 — unusual, though only about a one-in-450 departure from real English prose. See E6.
Repetition
In 196 letters of English, THE alone normally appears six or seven times. Here no sequence of three units occurs more than twice and no sequence of four recurs at all. This panel is the whole case for a transposition — see E7, the one measurement no substitution can touch.
